Intel announces Harpertown processors

Microprocessor industry giant Intel has announced their latest generation of processors.

These new processors are part of their Xeon “Harpertown” processor range.

Intel has now announced four new processors in this range.

The new processors include three new quad-core Xeon processors: Xeon L5430, X5470 and X5492 in addition to a dual-core Xeon chip X5270.

All of these new processors are manufacturing using Intel’s 45-nanometer chip technology.

Intel is now preparing to announce their much awaited Dunnington processor range.
