Nokia N96 in India to cost Rs. 35000

Anyone who skipped on buying the Apple iPhone 3G to get their hands on the Nokia N96 in going to be disappointed.

World’s largest mobile phone maker Nokia has now announced the launch date and price of their latest model to be introduced in the Indian market.

Nokia N96 would go on sale in India on 16 September and it would cost Rs. 35000.

This is about the same price as the Apple iPhone 3G 16GB model in the Indian market.

The good thing is that the N96 would be available as an unlocked phone which the user would be able to use with any GSM mobile connection.

Nokia N96 features a 2.8″ large screen and 16 GB of internal memory. It supports various video formats like MPEG-4, WMV and Flash. It also comes loaded with an integrated DVB-H TV tuner which allows for mobile TV functionality.

The mobile phone features support for USB 2.0 along with WLAN and HSDPA. There is a microSD slot to further expand the storage capacity of the device.

It comes with two cameras. One of them is a high quality 5 megapixel unit. The other one is a VGA on the front for video conferencing (which is useless for Indian customers for the time being).

The phone also comes with A-GPS and the Nokia Maps application.

This Smartphone is really an exclent, but price should be around Rs. 25000/- as well as the camera should be at least more than 5 MP. Still it’s the best one till now.
