Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220 launched
Research in Motion has announced their first Blackberry mobile device that is in clamshell form factor.
This new model is the Pearl Flip 8220 which would be launched in two color options: Black and Red.
The device measures 3.9-inches high by 1.9-inches wide by 0.6-inch deep. It weighs 3.5 ounces.
RIM said that the device features a 65,536-color, 128×160 pixel external display and front-facing 2-megapixel camera. The internal display is a 65,536-color, 320×240-pixel TFT panel.
The phone features a SureType keyboard along with a trackball navigator. It also features a 3.5mm headphone jack and an external microSD expansion slot.
Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220 is a quad-band (GSM 850/900/1800/1900; GPRS/EDGE) mobile phone. It supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support. GPS is however missing from this latest model from the company.
