Cricket launches Prepaid Wireless Broadband services

Cricket has announced the launch of their prepaid wireless broadband internet services.

A company representative said: “There is nobody in the market providing wireless broadband to a low-income customer with no contract. These are people under $50k household income, with no broadband Internet in their homes. This becomes their alternative to DSL or cable.”

Cricket is already serving around 3.3 million customers. Their near future plans are to double the size of the company by 2010.

The company soon plans to launch their services in new markets like Chicago, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington.

Cricket said that their prepaid mobile internet service is available without credit checks or a contract commitment.

About network congestion Cricket said: “We’ve been building up network capacity to make sure it doesn’t clog up the network. We’re learning our way through this.”

I signed on with your company about 2 weeks ago and received the modem in a couple of days. I am very pleased with this internet service. As a matter of fact it is great; however, I was under the impression that I would receive a rebate. Their was nothing in the carton or white case for me to send back for the rebate. What do I do?
