Google Search with My Location launched
Google has now improved their search on the mobile platform with the launch of Search with My Location.
This service now uses Gears Geolocation API to find out the location of the user to help him conduct searches in his locality.
This is the same technology used by Google Maps for Mobiles.
Previously, Google used the location which was entered by the user during previous searches on Mobile Local Search.
Google spoke about the privacy issue related to this new feature: “We take your privacy seriously and have designed Search with My Location so that it doesn’t associate your location with any personally identifiable information, even if you are logged in.”
