Cray CX1 supercomputer for just USD 25,000
Microsoft and Cray are collaborating together to launch a competitively priced supercomputer model named CX1.
This model is priced at around USD 25,000 and it would come powered with Windows HPC (High Performance Computing) Server 2008.
Interested customers would be able to place an order for this machine starting October this year.
This machine is targeted at customers who want to conduct simulations that require compute-intensive environments in a limited budget.
Microsoft is currently scheduled to launch Windows HPC Server 2008 on Monday. It would take on offerings based on Linux and UNIX.
