Blackberry Bold launched in India for Rs. 35000

Research In Motion has collaborated with Airtel to launch their new model Blackberry Bold in the Indian market.

But this model does not come cheap at Rs. 35000. The pricing is similar to the Apple iPhone 3G 16GB model.

Airtel said that they would start selling this model through their dealers by the end of the month.

RIM said that Blackberry Bold is the first model from them which offer support for tri-band HSDPA high-speed networks around the world.

This however would not be useful in the Indian market as there is no compatible network around here.

The phone also comes loaded with support for 802.11 a/b/g Wi-Fi and GPS. Blackberry Bold features a half-VGA (480×320 resolution at 217 ppi) color LCD along with a media player and a 2 megapixel camera.
