Experts: Don’t expect too much from Google Android 1 Gen phones
Google is expected to come out with the first mobile device powered by their Android mobile platform on Tuesday.
This phone is likely to be manufactured by HTC and would sell through T-Mobile USA.
Market analysts believe that it would be too much to think that the first generation Android mobile phone would be as refined as let’s say the Apple iPhone.
Bill Hughes, an analyst at In Stat said in a statement: “Any launch short of the iPhone launch is going to seem small, so I think it’s incumbent upon us to recognize that it doesn’t get like that very often.”
Another research company has already stated that the launch would be successful and Google is expected to capture a 4% market share in Smartphones segment by the end of the year.
Neil Mawston, director at Strategy Analytics had this to say: “We expect Android will eventually offer a compelling range of mobile applications emphasizing Google’s online assets, such as advertising, mapping and search.”
