Mahindra Scorpio Automatic launched in India
Mahindra & Mahindra has now launched an automatic edition of their popular SUV Scorpio.
This new variant features a fully automatic 6-speed gear box. It powers a 2.2 liter mHawk engine.
The company claims that this is now the first Indian SUV in its class to offer a 6-speed fully automatic transmission.
Mahindra said that the Automatic option would be offered in two variants – the VLS and VLX variants. Price starts at Rs 10.2 lakhs onwards, ex-showroom Pune.
The company added that they have designed the gear box in such a way that it would not require an oil change throughout its life. It also comes loaded with an adaptive strategy to maintain optimum shift quality through the entire life of the transmission.
