AP to use thePlatform for their online video network
The Associated Press has announced that they are now going to use thePlatform for their online video network.
They have been using Microsoft technology powered platform for this service till now.
thePlatform is owned by the cable operator Comcast. They use this technology to deliver video content to more than 2,000 newspapers, broadcast and other media Web sites in the USA.
Microsoft added that they have now completed their two year long contract with AP for this collaboration. They are now moving on to expand their core video publishing business.
AP said that they had to move on because Microsoft would not have been able to provide them the support needed for the service to remain on the same technology.
