Google launches Project 10^100

Search engine giant Google has launched their Project 10^100.

Google has allocated $10 million for new ideas which can change the world.

The money would be used to implement the ideas with the aim to do things that can change the world for better.

This initiative is part of their 10 year anniversary.

Google said that the winning ideas would be decided by a panel of judges and the general public.

It added in a press statement: “These ideas can be big or small, technology-driven or brilliantly simple — but they need to have impact. We know there are countless brilliant ideas that need funding and support to come to fruition.”

Interested people can submit their ideas on the official website of this project. They would be required to give details about their ideas and also answer some questions.

So if I have a great idea, maybe I’ve been working on it for some time financing it out of my own pocket. Then, if I submit it to Google and it wins they take it of my hands give it to somebody else along with a bag of money. Then what do I do? I’m no longer part of it. The idea has money which is great but there is no guarantee that the new company has the passion it takes to make it a success. Money is not always enough. The worst thing is that this is not clearly stated up front by Google!

    real poverty
    October 2nd, 2008 at 9:59 am

world is facing a real problem of poverty today because of many problems. one of the important one among them is two people working in a house where their individual annual income is more than required.A working women will marry a working person only.after marrying if she leaves the job an other intelligent person who really needs the job get it. so this solves somekind of poverty and unemployement.so final conclusion is that in each house there should be one working person if the annual income is less than 300000 per annum.

    saving current
    October 2nd, 2008 at 10:12 am

today in many countries current is generated from hydel power, nuclear reactor, solar energy, etc. our concept is how much of this is consuming during the connection from the power station2houses.each house cannot produce hydel power on their own,not even solar energy is also consumed properly.but the wastage and loss of current may be prevented by having a instrument for each house to produce current. Not from uranium which is facing a lot of scarcity.why can’t we use hydrogen fuel to produce current in each house just like fixing a current main in each house.
