Apple iPhone 3G in Russia from October 3
Apple iPhone 3G would be launched in the Russian market this coming October 3.
Nadezhda Senyuk, a PR director at retail chain Tekhnosila spoke about their plans: “All retailers will begin sales of iPhone in Russia at the same time, during the night between October 2 and October 3. Our company will be also selling them.”
Eldorado and M.video too said in a statement that they plan to start selling the iPhone from October 3.
Experts believe that Apple would be able to sell as many as 150,000 units before the end of the current year.
The iPhone 3G would be pretty expensive in the Russian market. The 8GB model would sell for 22,999 roubles ($923.6) while the 16GB model would sell for 26,999 roubles ($1,084).
