Toshiba to soon offer 256GB Solid State Drive
Japanese personal computer maker Toshiba has announced that they would soon start offering a 256GB solid state drive.
This drive would be targeted at UMPCs and laptops.
Toshiba aims to display these new disks at the CEATEC show in Tokyo beginning Sept. 30.
The company said that the drive would fit within a 2.5-inch form factor. It would also include a SATA 3-Mbit interface.
Toshiba claims that the drive provides reading speeds of 120 MB/s and writing speeds of 70 MB/s.
No prices were revealed.
