Honda reportedly working on Hybrid Motorcycles
Japanese automaker Honda is working on hybrid motorcycles and they could launch them in the market by as early as 2010.
They are also planning to introduce smaller electric motorcycles which could be launched by 2011.
The company aims to implement the technologies pioneered on cars to develop the hybrid models of bikes.
Honda said that they believe they can shrink a hybrid engine enough to be mounted on a motorcycle frame.
The company said that these bikes could offer 50 percent better fuel efficiency compared to conventional models.
It would be interesting to see if they can manage to achieve this considering the size issues when it comes to two wheelers.
