Starz Entertainment content coming to Netflix
DVD rental company Netflix has announced that they are now collaborating with Starz Entertainment to bring their movies to their Web streaming service.
This development would add around 2500 new titles to the streaming service provided by Netflix.
Netflix did not reveal the financial aspects of their deal with Starz Entertainment.
They now have on offer more than 12,000 movies on the streaming service.
Starz also has a similar deal with Verizon Communications.
Ted Sarandos, chief content officer for Netflix spoke about the deal: “The coupling of Starz Play with our growing library of streaming content is an important step forward for both companies and for consumer choice.”
He added: “Our deal reflects the creative ways we are working with content partners to expand the profile and the number of choices our subscribers can watch instantly over the Internet, in addition to the 100,000 titles we offer on DVD through the mail.”
