Netflix working on Apple Mac support

Netflix has a service named Watch Instantly which streams movies to subscriber’s computer. The service is currently only available on the Windows operating system.

Netflix has now said that they are working on bringing this facility on Apple Macs. They aim to launch a product before the end of the year to do so.

The company currently has on offer more than 12,000 movies and TV episodes available for streaming online through this service which competes with Apple iTunes and other digital stores.

Netflix spokesman Brent wrote about their plans in a blog post: “And, for all of you Mac users we’ve been busy working getting a solution that will allow you to watch instantly on your Mac. So hang in there – we’ll have something for you by the end of the year.”

Puhlease. This will be just another half-assed, second-class Flash player, while they still give Windows a first-class client.
