HTC aims to sell half million G1 in this quarter
HTC is the manufacturer of the first mobile device to be powered by Google Android mobile platform.
The phone is named G1 and it would first be sold by T-Mobile in the US market.
Google G1 would later be launched in both European and Asian markets.
HTC has said that they are aiming to sell around half a million units in this quarter of the year.
The phone goes on sale later this month through T-Mobile USA for $179 with a two year long contract.
Market sources say that T-Mobile expects to place orders for between 1.5 million and 2 million G1s from HTC in through 2009.
