EBay acquiring Bill Me Later and Danish classifieds sites
US based online auction service eBay has announced that they are now acquiring online payments site Bill Me Later and two Danish classifieds services.
The company would be paying $820 million in cash and $125 million in options to acquire Bill Me Later. They expect this deal to complete by the end of the year.
They are paying another $390 million in cash for dba.dk and bilbasen.dk.
Incidentally, eBay is also the owners of PayPal which is a popular online payment service. eBay said that Bill Me Later would further expand the options their user would have.
eBay President and Chief Executive John Donahoe spoke about Bill Me Later: “PayPal and Bill Me Later belong together. We now have a powerful combination of the two leading, complementary online payment products, each with proven benefits for consumers and online merchants.”
