Europe might soon require mobile phones to have replaceable batteries

Apple might soon face more problems in the European market as sources say that EU is planning to make it mandatory for mobile phone makers to offer phones with replaceable batteries.

Apple iPhone is one of the few high profile mobile phones which do not feature a user replaceable battery.

Instead the customer is required to contact the company to get a new battery for a high fee.

New Batteries Directive is said to be one of the several policies EU is considering and this would make it mandatory for mobile phones to provide easy access to battery so that the user can replace them easily and manually.
