Facebook integrates Microsoft Live Search
Microsoft is one of the investors in Facebook social networking service. They are also providing advertising solutions on the network.
Facebook has now integrated Microsoft Live Search technology within the network which enables the user to conduct searches from within the service.
Facebook notified in a blog post: “By integrating web search into Facebook, you can increase the information available to share with your friends, family and coworkers on the site. For example, your friend may invite you to an event at a new restaurant. Without leaving Facebook, you can check out the details of the restaurant on the web.”
It remains to be seen if Facebook can help enhance the market share of Live Search in the competitive search engine market.
