CollegeWikis gets USD 2 million funding
CollegeWikis is a web based service which has been founded by students.
The venture has now received a USD 2 million funding from venture capital firms.
The service enables anyone with an .edu email ID to join the network.
It is designed to replace the old fashioned email groups feature with a more accessible format which is both user friendly and intuitive.
The company currently serves about 50,000 students at 200 schools.
The firms providing the fundings including HighBAR Ventures, Richmond Management, eCoast Angel Network and Boston Harbor Angels.
