BBC iPlayer now works on several portable media players
UK based media company BBC has announced that they have now expanded the usability of their BBC iPlayer application.
BBC iPlayer is now supported on several portable media players including mobile devices.
Basically, it requires the device to support Windows Media-protected content.
BBC representative Anthony Rose wrote in a blog post: “This is the first time that you can play BBC iPlayer TV programmes on a range of portable media devices.”
BBC iPlayer page states that the player now works on PC, Mac & Linux computers, Apple iPhone & iPod Touch, Nokia N96, Creative Zen, Philips GoGear, Sony Walkman X Series, Nintendo Wii, NetGear EVA8000, Linksys DMA2200 and Virgin Media.
