SanDisk launches SlotMusic microSD cards
As promised SanDisk has now launched their SlotMusic microSD cards.
These memory cards comes loaded with music from popular musicians and can be loaded in any compatible device such as mobile phones and portable media players.
SanDisk is working with major music labels including Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, and EMI for this new service.
Eric Bone, SanDisk’s vice president of product marketing spoke about the speculation about the success of this move: “Anytime something new comes to market there are naysayers. However, there was plenty of positive, too.”
the music loaded on these memory chips is high quality as they are encoded at up to 320 Kbps.
This is SanDisk’s way to take on the popularity of Apple iTunes. Nokia has also entered the market with their Comes with Music service that comes bundled with their new mobile phones now available in the market.
