Amex Digital launches Portable Blu-ray Super Multi Drive for MacBook
Apple might consider Blu-Ray to be not suitable for Macs yet but third party manufacturers are taking advantage of this situation.
Amex Digital has announced the launch of their Portable Blu-ray Super Multi Drive for MacBook.
It provides support for both BD single and double-layer media in addition to DVD±RW discs.
There are two models which can be purchased for use with Apple Macs:
BDP-2 Blu-ray player USD 289
BDR-2 Blu-ray recorder USD 389
They can be powered through a USB 2.0 cable or a power adapter.
Amex said that these drives are not just for Macs as they can also work fine with Windows XP and Windows Vista.
