Apple could update iMacs next month

AppleInsider is reporting that Apple is working on launching their updated range of Apple iMacs sometime next month.

This would put them in the hot position for the upcoming holiday season in the US market.

The company has already launch the second generation iPhone and iPod Touch. They just recently updated their entire range of notebooks (Apple MacBook, Apple MacBook Pro and Apple MacBook Air).

Now, they are planning to update their iMac range of desktop computers.

The iMac range is unlikely to get a total replacement model. Apple is likely to just update the hardware components and add some new technologies.

DisplayPort is one of the newer technologies that Apple is promoting heavily and it would not be surprising that the iMacs would be updated to use this port.
