Mini E electric model revealed
BMW has announced the electric version of their Mini small car. This new model is named Mini E.
this model would be formally showcased at the upcoming 2008 LA Auto Show.
They would be manufacturing a limited quantity of 500-1000 units of Mini E.
these units would be leased to customers in some cities.
BMW said that the car comes powered with a 204 horsepower electric motor which provides 162 pound-feet of torque.
The charge time for this model is around 8 hours which can provide a driving range of 150 miles.
