Intel collaborates with Ericsson for HSPA
US based microprocessor industry giant Intel has announced a collaboration with Ericsson.
Intel would now be using Ericsson’s High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) data solution in their next generation mobile Internet device platform.
This platform is currently codenamed Moorestown.
This announcement was made at the Intel Developer Forum in Taipei, Taiwan.
Ericsson would also be expanding the support from notebooks to a range of pocket devices.
Intel said that they are working on further reducing the power consumption on this new platform.
