Motorola working on an Android Mobile Phone

US based mobile phone maker Motorola is said to be working hard on a mobile phone device based on the Google Android mobile platform.

The phone is said to be designed to be friendly with social networks like Facebook and MySpace.

It is also likely to feature a touch screen similar to the Apple iPhone.

Also included is a slide out keyboard which would make it pretty similar to the Google G1 mobile phone model which would soon become the first device in the market powered by Android.

Motorola is aiming to bring this phone to the market by the second quarter of next year.

The company needs to come out with something special to get back the edge they had with the Razr range of mobile devices.

They are facing intense competition in the US market.
