Symbian Foundation gets support from ARM, VISA, Huawei and others
Symbian Foundation has announced some new members which include the chip designer company ARM, finance company VISA and Chinese tech giant Huawei.
With this more than 50 companies around the world have become the member of this foundation.
AT&T said that this makes them the edge over Google Android platform which is largely controlled by the search engine giant.
HTC is currently manufacturing phones using this platform which are all set to launch in the US market.
Nokia is currently working on releasing the first of the unified Symbian Foundation software edition next year.
The companies are working on launching this new platform by 2010.
