Cox Communications confirm plans for Wireless Services
Cox Communications has now confirmed that they are indeed going to launch wireless services in the U.S. In 2009.
They are collaborating with Sprint Nextel while they setup their own network.
The company is aiming to provide wireless services in addition to their existing bundle of television, telephone and wired broadband Internet services.
Cox hopes that this expanded service package would help it retain their customers while adding more.
Pat Esser, president of Cox Communications spoke about the new developments: “Wireless service will be a key driver to Cox’s future growth.”
Cox would base their network on CDMA technology and they would use Sprint’s network for the time being.
