Psystar launches Mac OS X compatible machines with Blu-Ray drives
Steve Jobs recently stated that the Blu-Ray storage format technology was a bag of hurt.
Apparently, Apple is still not prepared to bet on the Blu-Ray format for the Apple Mac platform.
Psystar thinks otherwise.
The company which is facing a lawsuit from Apple has announced the launch of their updated products which comes loaded with Blu-Ray drives.
These machines are Mac OS X compatible which Apple claims makes them illegal.
Psystar president Rudy Pedraza spoke about these new models: “Blu-ray has already won the format war. Not only is there fully functional and mature support for Blu-ray in other operating systems but you can now rent Blu-ray discs from almost any rental chain. Blu-ray has become pervasive technology that is being widely adopted by consumers everywhere.”
