Motorola aims to launch Android based mobile phone within a year

HTC has already launched G1 which is the first phone in the market to be powered by Google Android.

Motorola has revealed that they are working on several projects and they aim to launch their first Android phone within a year’s time.

The company is struggling in the mobile phone segment in their home market. Rivals are increasingly taking away their market share.

Motorola has simply failed to come out with a worthy successor to RAZR which has been a mega seller for the company around the world.

Android could be the platform which could boost Motorola’s fortunes in the coming years.

But they need to act fast and make sure they have better products compared to rivals.
