Google updates Android to fix security flaws
Google recently launched their first mobile phone device G1 through T-Mobile.
The company has now issued a security update for the software platform Android on this device.
This is a good test for the company to see how reliable it would be for them to update the devices remotely as they aim for a bigger market share in the coming years.
Market reports say that the update was prompt and went ahead without any issues. Users said that the device performance was slightly improved after the update.
This is a good sign. Google is taking Android security seriously and users can be sure about getting regular updates in the future as well.

This is shameless commerce, but relevant to the discussion, I think: my company just finished a new security SDK for Android that your readers might be interested in. With it, Android developers can build encryption, firewall and VPN features into Android. We’re offering a free trial of the full source code of the software… you can check it out and request the free download here: http://mocana.com/NanoPhone-Android.html
