MySpace considering developing a portable media player
MySpace is considering plans to get into the portable media player market that could put them in direct competition against the Apple iPod range of players.
MySpace is already competing with Apple iTunes digital media store. The social networking service recently launched MySpace Music service.
MySpace co-founder and Chief Executive Chris DeWolfe however said that there is no current plans to launch such a player.
He said that its a possibility though they are currently focused on providing services online.
DeWolfe added: “We wanted to come up with a program that meets the needs of music companies and artists, by definition, and users.”
