BSkyB to offer online television services

BSkyB has announced that they are all set to launch its live TV channels through subscription services.

This subscription would work through their PC-only SkyPlayer service.

This service is currently offering VOD services.

They are also working on making this service work on Apple Mac platform.

Linux users might find themselves out of luck for the time being.

Company COO Mike Darcey said in a statement: “Essentially we are talking about taking a Sky subscription service and making it available online. You don’t need a satellite dish, you don’t need to be a Sky subscriber: you can be a Sky subscriber online now.”
