Nvidia Quadro FX 5800 for $3,499 launched
Nvidia has launched a new graphic card that is not aimed at gamers.
This new card is Nvidia Quadro FX 5800 and it retails at an astounding $3,499.
It is the first card in the industry to feature 4GB of graphics memory.
Nvidia said that the card offers up to 240 CUDA programmable parallel processing cores.
This card is aimed at industries like oil and gas exploration, medical imaging, and styling/design.
The company spoke about this card: “With advances in GPU architecture and computing environments, the NVIDIA® Quadro® FX 5800 featuring 240 CUDA parallel processing cores, provides professionals with visual supercomputing from their desktops delivering results that push visualization beyond traditional 3D.”
