AMD Shanghai for the server market

AMD has finally launched their Shanghai range of microprocessors for the server market.

This new processor range is expected to give them potent weapons to take on Intel’s domination in this segment.

AMD Shanghai is thankfully launched on schedule for the company which has suffered massively due to delays in their newer products.

The company claims that Shanghai processor will perform 35% better than its previous generation of server chips.

The power consumption is also less compared to earlier processors.

AMD said: “It’s been tested by enough people who say it performs very well.”

AMD needs the new processor to be a success for them as their market share in the server segment is becoming smaller and smaller.

Intel has been launching new impressive products which are gaining them more customers.
