Maruti A-Star to have an introductory price of Rs. 3.47 lakh

Maruti has announced that they are launching their latest model A-Star at an introductory price of Rs. 3.47 lakh.

The company is hoping to generate a hype with aggressive pricing of this model which is expected to cost a bit more after this introductory offer is over.

The variants of this model would cost as much as Rs 4.12 lakh. This would match the cost of the cheapest version of their Swift model.

MSI Executive Officer Marketing and Sales Mayank Pareek said in a statement: “November and December are usually tough months for carmakers. Knowing that very well, we will be launching the A-Star so that it can bring excitement to the market.”

Maruti is aiming to sell 50,000 units of A-Star in the first year of launch. A-Star would also be exported to other markets where they aim to sell at least 1 lakh units.

Maruti claims that the car gives a fuel efficiency of 19.59 km per liter. This was calculated from tests conducted by Automotive Research Association of India.
