Nokia to become a mobile virtual network operator in Japan?
Japanese daily Yomiuri Shimbun has claimed in a report that mobile phone maker Nokia is going to become a mobile service provider in the competitive Japanese market.
The company is rumored to be working on plans to become a mobile virtual network operator.
They would be using the network of Japan’s biggest mobile phone carrier, NTT DoCoMo.
The report said that Nokia would use this network to promote some of their most capable mobile devices to generate brand awareness.
Nokia is the world’s largest mobile phone maker but they have little to nothing presence in Japan.
