HTC Touch HD

HTC has launched yet another variant of their Touch series mobile phones.

The latest model is the HTC Touch HD.

Touch HD features a 3.8-inch touchscreen which makes it an even strong rival to the Apple iPhone 3G.

It still comes powered with the Windows Mobile operating system.

Taiwan Mobile is now offering this new model in the domestic market.

HTC has priced this device at NT$25,900 which comes to around USD 780.

They have not revealed any plans to launch this new model in other markets like the US and the Europe.

Market sources however said that U.K. and Singapore markets are likely to get this model soon.

HTC Touch HD is a pretty feature rich device. It comes loaded with a 5-megapixel digital camera. The screen is of course bigger than the iPhone.

It weighs 147 grams, and measures 115 millimeters by 62.8mm by 12mm.

Cliff Lai, chief operating officer at Taiwan Mobile spoke about this model: “If we went with the iPhone, our money would go to America. But we’re not interested in boosting the American economy. We’re interested in boosting Taiwan’s economy.”
