Microsoft and Yahoo denies deal rumors
The Sunday Times had reported that Microsoft was closing in on a deal with Yahoo which involved Yahoo’s search operations.
However, both Yahoo and Microsoft have now denied that they are in any such talks at the moment.
Microsoft representatives said in a statement: “We continue to offer no comment on such rumors and speculation.”
Yahoo too had nothing to say on these speculations in the market.
The possibility of such a deal became stronger after Yahoo’s co founder and CEO Jerry Yang announced his decision to step down from his CEO position.
He was the primary force behind Yahoo’s refusal to the initial deal offered by Microsoft.
