Nokia N97 coming out next year
Nokia has announced that they would launch a new N-Series mobile phone N97 next year.
This would be their challenger to the Apple iPhone 3g and the new generation models from Research in Motion.
Nokia N97 would come with a 3.5-inch touch screen. Nokia claims that the device would feature 50 percent greater resolution than the iPhone.
The device would also include a slide-out alphabetic keyboard. Apple iPhone relies on a software based keyboard.
They aim to sell this new phone for a price tag around USD 700. This would make it much more expensive than the iPhone which is usually sold with a carrier subsidy in the US market.
Nokia N97 would feature the Symbian mobile OS and would have a 5 megapixel camera.
