Qi Lu to run Microsoft Online Services Group
Microsoft has confirmed that they have hired former Yahoo executive Qi Lu.
He would now be running the company’s struggling web services division.
Lu was previously working for Yahoo at their Search and Advertising Technology Group.
He left the internet media giant after working there for around 10 years.
At Microsoft he would report directly to CEO Steve Ballmer.
He takes over from Brian McAndrews who would leave the company in the coming months.
This is more bad news for Yahoo as they struggle to compete against both Google and Microsoft.
