Electronlibre: Apple iTunes to become more DRM free music

A French site Electronlibre has reported that Apple is all set to add more DRM free music options on its Apple iTunes digital media store.

The report said that DRM free music from major record labels Sony-BMG, Warner, and Universal Music would be added sometime today.

The website said: “Apple is going to announce that the catalogs of three major labels will be sold without DRM protection as of December 9.”

Apple has not confirmed this latest rumor in the market.

Analysts do believe that the company has been in talks with the major label companies in the world to bring more DRM free music on iTunes.

This becomes important for them as Amazon MP3 already offers the same.
