Microsoft offers to reduce data retention time limit if Google does the same
Software giant Microsoft has said that they would reduce the time limit of data retention on their search engine if Google and other search engines does the same.
The search engine companies continues to argue that they need to retain the data to improve their search engine quality.
Privacy experts believe that the data stored by the search engine infringes on user privacy rights on the internet.
Microsoft said that they personally believe that a six month period is good enough for the industry.
They are currently storing the data for 18 months before anatomizing it.
