South Korea could soon get the Apple iPhone

Korea Communications Commission has said in a statement that they are now dropping a requirement that could soon see Apple iPhone arriving in the country.

The regulatory body required the mobile devices available in the market to have locally made software embedded.

They are now planning to scrap this Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability.

This could be removed by April next year.

They had implemented this plan to protect the local mobile phone industry. This had prevented mobile companies from other countries to launch their popular devices in South Korea.

This is good news for Apple as they can now prepare to launch the iPhone in South Korea.
