Qualcomm to introduce Kayak Platform in India
San Diego-based technology company Qualcomm has announced that they would soon launch their Kayak platform in the Indian market.
Kayak is basically portable computing device that can be used to connect to the internet.
They are going to price it at around Rs. 10,000 for Indian customers.
Qualcomm Senior Vice-President and India head Kanwalinder Singh spoke about their plans: “We will introduce Kayak Internet access platform in second half of next year and this device leverages 3G chipsets as well. The main USP is it can compute in low power scenario like India. It will cost about Rs 10,000.”
This device is capable of connecting the internet using the mobile service providers so it can be used even in villages and small cities where regular connectivity is not available.
It comes powered with Qualcomm’s dual-core mobile station modem chipsets.
