EFi-X USA latest to offer Mac OS X powered hardware
If Apple had not enough issues dealing with Psystar, they now have another company to take on.
EFi-X USA is the new player in the market which plans to offer Mac OS X powered machines to consumers who want a non-Apple Mac.
The company is offering a machine aimed at the power user: a 3.8GHz Intel Core 2 Quad processor, 1TB storage on 7200 rpm drives, a 150GB 10k rpm system drive, 4GB of included RAM, and a GeForce 8800 GTS GPU.
Customers would also be able to customize the hardware as per their liking.
The base configuration machine would retail for $2,100 and would come with the proprietary EFi-X internal adapter that enables the Mac OS X installation on the machine.
