Sony Walkman set to go touchscreen
Sony is working on a new generation of Walkman devices that would feature a touchscreen interface.
The design of the device as per the rumored images shows an iPod Touch like device. No surprises there.
This new edition of Walkman media player is likely to be available in two editions: 16 and 32GB. Again similar to the iPod Touch which also has a 8GB edition.
It would include some new features like Wi-Fi support.
The display is likely to be powered by a brilliant three inch OLED with a contrast ratio around 10k. This would enhance the display quality of the device.
WPA and WEP support is likely to be included for wireless internet access. File format support: MP3, WMA, AAC, PCM. Video: AVC (h.264), MPEG-4 and WMV.
