Acer Aspire Netbook for just USD 99!
Acer, AT&T and RadioShack are collaborating to bring the 3G enabled Acer Aspire Netbook to the retail market for an attractive price tag of USD 99.
This machine has a regular retail price of around USD 500.
AT&T is helping by subsidizing the cost of the machine. Customers opting for this offer would require signing up for a two-year AT&T DataConnect mobile-broadband service agreement.
This plan costs $60 a month at least.
Peter Whitsett, RadioShack’s executive vice president of merchandising spoke at the launch event: “Many people internationally are already enjoying the portability, on-the-go connectivity and affordability of this emerging new technology. We are proud to introduce this concept in the U.S. by offering a Netbook with integrated 3G functionality in addition to full Wi-Fi capability.”
Market analysts say that this is an interesting offer from these companies which should see good response from the customers who want cheap computing with wireless internet access.
